Position Summary

Training Coordinators are responsible for organizing, scheduling, and managing employee training programs including safety, technical, compliance, and professional development initiatives. They work closely with HR, management, and external training providers to ensure all employees receive appropriate training and maintain required certifications.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate & Schedule Training

Plan, schedule, and manage training events, including safety, compliance, technical, and professional development sessions. Handle logistics, calendars, and communication.

Onboarding Support

Assist with new hire orientation, departmental training schedules, and ensure timely completion of required onboarding modules.

Tracking & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of employee training, certifications, and attendance. Use LMS or tracking tools to monitor compliance and generate reports.

Communication & Support

Serve as the first point of contact for training-related questions and provide resources to employees and managers.

Training Materials & Vendors

Help prepare and update training materials, coordinate with external providers, register employees, and support e-learning platforms.

Other Duties

Support HR with related projects and stay current on company platforms and processes.

Requirements

Required

  • 2+ years in training coordination, HR support, or administrative roles
  • Experience with LMS, spreadsheets, or databases for tracking employee training
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience with onboarding, compliance, or safety documentation
  • Background in manufacturing, field service, construction, or industrial environments

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to APS locations
  • Infrequent travel may include driving, flying, and overnight stays
  • Light physical activity (lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally)

Pre-Employment Requirements

These screenings are conducted once, prior to hire, and are not part of a recurring or annual testing program. However, employees remain subject to Reasonable Suspicion and Post-Accident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy.
