Position Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator ensures the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and documentation through the warehouse and to internal departments and customers. This position helps coordinate freight and local deliveries, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports service “kit” parts readiness. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, customer-minded, and capable of working independently while collaborating with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with company policies and safety protocols.

Perform core warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, staging, stocking, and order fulfillment.

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.

Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including sit-down counterbalance forklifts and walkie electric pallet jacks (training provided as needed).

Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Prepare, complete, maintain, and understand shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL).

Maintain accurate warehouse paperwork and records, including inventory transactions and order documentation.

Maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of kit parts to support the Service department.

Charge and maintain batteries and related warehouse equipment as required.

Support Customer Service and Service department needs by staging materials, preparing orders, and coordinating movement of parts/equipment.

Work around live DC power systems (2V–120V), using proper PPE and following training to take voltage measurements as required.

Provide high-quality customer support and assist in resolving customer issues professionally when needed.

Travel locally for deliveries, pickups, and occasional visits to customer sites (no overnight travel, no flying).

Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and operational needs.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience in a non-production warehouse environment.

Ability to safely operate, or willingness to be trained to operate, PIT equipment including:

Sit-down counterbalance forklift

Walkie electric pallet jack

Willingness to work around live electrical systems and take voltage measurements (training and PPE provided).

Working knowledge/understanding of lead-acid batteries; experience in the reserve power industry is a plus.

Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations professionally.

Ability to read and interpret specifications, manuals, and technical information.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, departments, and freight carriers.

Basic math and mechanical aptitude.

General computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and handle materials in a warehouse setting, including:

Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance

Lift up to 150 lbs with assistance

Ability to slide/move items up to 200 lbs (as required)

Ability to perform frequent physical activity, including:

Walking and standing frequently

Stooping/bending/squatting frequently

Turning/twisting occasionally

Kneeling/crouching occasionally

Crawling and climbing seldom to occasional (as required)

Ability to use hand and power tools as necessary (dexterity, grip strength, fine manipulation).

Ability to climb and work on ladders occasionally.

Vision requirements include constant use of near/far vision, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is primarily non-environmentally controlled, with frequent exposure to non-weather heat and cold.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Maintain an acceptable driving record (required for local driving duties).

Ability to pass drug testing (includes annual drug tests, per company requirements).

Ability to pass an acceptable background check in accordance with company/customer requirements and applicable laws/regulations.

Ability to perform duties in a safety-sensitive role and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
