Position Summary
Key Responsibilities
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Developer and QuickBase Admin to execute system improvements and maintain high-quality backend logic.
• Documentation Ownership: Partner with the team to map workflows; take the lead on creating and maintaining process diagrams, flowcharts, SOPs, and user guides to ensure no technical debt is left behind.
• Integrated Support: Assist in ensuring consistent data flow across systems like QuickBase, SharePoint, and Sage, providing the documentation necessary for team-wide visibility.
• QuickBase Support: Assist the QuickBase Administrator in building tables, managing field logic, and adjusting user roles, while maintaining stable, documented operations.
• Deployment & Feedback: Support the rollout of system changes by communicating updates to end users and gathering feedback to share with the broader development team.
• Technical Assistance: Debug and troubleshoot system issues in coordination with the team to improve overall usability and reliability
Requirements
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in backend development, systems support, or a technical analyst role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python with an interest in developing backend web applications (e.g., Flask).
• Integration Knowledge: Understanding of REST APIs and how data moves between platforms.
• Database Fundamentals: Solid understanding of relational databases, data mapping, and transformation.
• Documentation Discipline: Proven ability to create and maintain process diagrams, configuration documentation, and end-user manuals.
• QuickBase Interest: Willingness to learn and master QuickBase configuration, reporting, and workflow automation. (Note: APS will provide training and certification support).
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
Physical Requirements
• Primarily office environment with infrequent visits to regional locations/meetings as needed.
• Frequent sitting/standing/walking; frequent keyboarding; constant vision (near and far).
• Occasional bending/crouching/kneeling as needed.
